Drug Testing

  Full Service
Full service drug testing consists of the collection of the specimen (urine, hair, or saliva), testing of the specimen, and conveying the test results to the “Designated Employer Representative” as specified by the client.  Professional Drug Screening utilizes a Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Certified Laboratory to conduct these tests.  All DOT collections adhere to CFR Part 40 regulations, current DOT Urine Specimen Collection Procedure Guidelines, and DOT Agency Regulations. Contact our Screening Specialist to assist you in determining the best testing option above to address your specific concerns or needs.

  Collection Service
Collection Services include collection of the specimen and shipment of the specimen to the laboratory of your choice via an overnight (or other) courier.  Test results go directly from the laboratory to your company or a Third-Party Administrator.  This method is used only when your company has contracted drug testing services through a certified laboratory.  Professional Drug Screening Services is an approved collection site for most major Laboratories in the United States including Lab Corp, Kroll and Clinical Reference Laboratories (CRL).  Professional Drug Screening Services is also a preferred collection site for Quest Laboratories.

  Hair Testing
Professional Drug Screening Services is equipped to perform both full service and/or collection only hair collections.  Alternate collection methods including hair testing, are becoming more popular because they are non-invasive and can occur anywhere at any time.  Hair testing has the added advantage of providing a longer window of detection time for prior drug usage; up to 90 days.  This is increasingly beneficial to employers for use during pre-employment and random drug testing.  Hair specimens undergo the same high level of initial and confirmation testing as other specimen tests.  Professional Drug Screening Services is a preferred Quest hair collection site.

  Saliva Testing
Oral fluid testing is an alternative collection method gaining popularity in recent years.  Oral fluid testing is effective in identifying recent drug use and therefore is frequently used in post accident testing.  These collections offer less embarrassment for donors and convenience during on-site testing for employers.

  Remote / Onsite Collection Service
Onsite drug and alcohol testing is a convenient service Professional Drug Screening Services offers.  Our representatives will come directly to your facility to collect specimens, thereby enabling your employees to save time away from work.  This method is often used for random drug testing or large group testing.

Alcohol Testing

Breath alcohol testing is primarily used to meet the requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT) in addition to post-accident and reasonable suspicion testing.  Arrangements for on-site testing can be made as well.

Professional Drug Screening Services utilizes the EBT (Evidential Breath Tester) Screening Device. This device meets all industry standards for evidential breath alcohol testing and is utilized to conduct breath alcohol testing in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.  The above appears on the National Highway Transportation Safety Administrations (NHTSA) conforming products lists.

This device measures the amount of alcohol in the breath which is in direct correlation with the amount of alcohol in the blood.  A test result of 0.02 or higher from any of the above devices will result in a confirmation test on the both Breathalyzer Screening Device.
Random Testing/Random Selection Service

Professional Drug Screening Services can manage the random selection of your employees for your drug and alcohol testing program.  Professional Drug Screening Services uses a secure computerized system which enables us to set up and maintain your random pool groups for both DOT and Non-DOT employees.

Simply provide Professional Drug Screening Services with pool group employee names, the percentage you would like tested, and the random pull frequency, (monthly, quarterly or bi-annually), and we can take if from there!

For DOT pool groups, in compliance with Federal Guidelines, a computerized system will select 50% of the employee pool spread over four quarters for drug testing.  Of that 50%, 10% will be selected for alcohol testing.  In addition, Professional Drug Screening Services can also arrange onsite drug and alcohol testing.

Individual Testing

Professional Drug Screening Services is proud to offer individuals the capability to come in for personal drug screen collections.  Individual donors have the option of choosing from urine or other alternative screening methods.
